French design houses Corthay and Dormeuil are combining their respective heritage and producing three pairs of shoes that immortalise expertise and elegance in gentlemenâs footwear.
Dormeuilâs 180-year history is built on its ability to discover the worldâs most beautiful fibres and produce high quality, technically sophisticated fabrics such as SportexÂź, invented in 1922. House of Dormeuilâs partnership with Corthay, the French shoemaker that illustrates superior craftsmanship, celebrates 100 years of SportexÂź. It continues the Dormeuil tradition of joining forces with luxury design houses that share the same values of excellence, lasting quality and respect for nature.
The partnership has led to the collaborative design of elegant, sporty gentlemenâs shoe styles, including a trainer, along with a matching overshirt.

Wilfrid Oxford shoe
This leather shoe is Maison Corthayâs signature style. Its line of geometric perforations harks back to the Art Deco era but gives a decidedly modern feel. Made with a variety of materials, including breathable SportexÂź fabric, this shoe features lively contrasts and a patina finish. (Available on demand only).

Â
Jules Derby shoe
The latest offering from Maison Corthay, Jules is a Derby featuring an ultra-light sole, ankle padding and a latex insole for the ultimate in comfort. SportexÂź fabric emphasises the contouring of the design while maintaining its characteristic sporty look.

Â
Carl trainer
Bridging the gap between old and new, these trainers contrast patina leather with the texture and understated colours of SportexÂź fabric. They are the perfect blend of refined elegance and sporty, trendy styling.
For a complete ultra-trendy look, Dormeuil is launching a range of matching SportexÂź overshirts. Inspired by the workwear codes, they make the perfect partners for trainers and relaxed formal shoes, as well as for sophisticated styling.
