Gold Forever is a perfect example of how we seek to blend tradition with innovation. This bunch features eco-friendly Super 160’s wool, certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), infused with gold. Through a complex finishing process, the fabric is immersed in tanks containing gold powder of 23.7 carats covering the cloth with an exquisite shimmer. To create dramatic patterns, we needed extremely fine yarn, the kind that can only be achieved by using a gold filament in recycled polyester. This high-quality man made fibre is spun exclusively for Dormeuil as a 1/200 count. The yarns are then twisted repeatedly with super 160’s wool in 15.7 microns to achieve a gold three-ply yarn. As you can see, we went the extra mile to produce elegant and truly luxurious suit fabrics that reflect both refinement and modernity.
Ambassador is one of our most iconic bunches and exudes luxury through its history and craftsmanship. Known as the fabric of crowned heads, Ambassador is crafted from Super 180’s wool, one of the finest yarns available, with fibres as delicate as 14.7 microns. In fact, Ambassador is the only Super 180’s fabric in the world with a two-ply structure on both warp and weft. As a result, the reinforced strength and stability lends the Ambassador bunch a smoother drape and hand. The fabric is both light and durable thanks to its construction. For more choice from this exclusive suiting fabric, we have included sophisticated patterns in addition to deeper solids. Ambassador perfectly encapsulates the level of attention we put into crafting high-quality fabrics as it has become a reference for our customers.
Pashmina combines the warmth of cashmere with the finesse of Super 170’s wool. Our pashmina, sourced from the Changthangi goat in the Himalayas, is known as the finest cashmere in the world. Famously used in scarves or shawls, this fibre has the ability to provide high levels of warmth without the heaviness of thicker luxury suit fabrics. This blend of cashmere and RWS certified merino wool joins our offering of sustainable fabrics. Extreme Vicuna is the most exclusive material in our range of luxury suit fabrics. It is made from the rarest fibre in the world: 100% pure vicuña, often referred to as the "fibre of the gods." Responsibly sourced from Peru, vicuña wool fabric is prized for its extraordinary softness and warmth. Each vicuña is shorn only once every two years, producing a limited amount of wool, which makes this fabric incredibly rare and precious. At Dormeuil, we have chosen an elegant zibline finish to enhance the unique appearance of vicuña wool.
